Song(s) of the Week

Ok, so in 7th period Henry mentioned Phil Collins, who is a great musician from the 1980's/90's. I'm guessing most of you haven't heard of him, so I decided to post one of his best songs in honor of that class period. You can download the track by clicking on the link and then clicking on the bolded text that says "Download File" on the page it takes you to.

I also decided to post up a song I just heard in the car earlier today that I liked. You guys might hate it, maybe not. But we'll see. It's by a band called Keane (total coincidence that I have a student by that name!) and it's from a brand-new album. It's got sort of an 80's sound, but I like it.

If you want me to post music that is more along the lines of what you like, let me know in the comments what you've been listening to. I'm into everything except country.

(NOTE: THIS DOES NOT COUNT AS YOUR BLOG ENTRY. YOU STILL NEED TO READ THE POLITICO.COM ARTICLE)

Come on, Baliff. If you only knew how broad my music taste is, your head would explode. 60,000 mp3s on two external drives.

@John-- I think "You Haven't Told Me Anything" is the best track. Looked for you today to give you some music but you didn't show up. Come see me Tuesday.

On my way home from somewhere, I heard "The Lovers Are Losing" by Keane on the radio...my dad really liked it and asked me if the band was really famous...is it? Just wondering...

I don't know but both of them are kind of weird, but I like the Keane one is better, no offense to any of your strong musical tastes.

I prefer a techno-rock band called Eleventyseven. It's really good, especially the song "Retail Value."

I agree with Delaney, and I think that the Phil Collins one is better, but I don't really care for either

Mr. Yedid,
I felt that the article stated alot of negative ideas towards Obama and his rising campaign. They said alot of untrue subjects on the matter of Obama's personal life. I would first like to say that half the reporters who do articles on the debate for the politics column don't even know Obama and they make it sound as though they are in his everyday life complications when they have no proof of understanding his personal relationships with his wife and children. They are invading his comfort zone and disturbing his way of order.
From Gaby
P.S i hope Obama wins the debate just to prove them wrong!!!

OMG Gabby i totally agree we should all prove them wrong!!!!!!!!!!! and, Hunter i know those songs are not country at all!!!! I am just saying that i really don't like country. Anyway I love your idea Gaby!!!!!!Why do we even want to know about his relationship with his family i mean its not like we would vote for a candidate because of their wife
