AMAZING Song + Video

So I know it's risky to post two music things in a row, but this video was sent to me by a good friend tonight and I've watched it four times straight and downloaded the song.

The song is a South African style of dance music called kwaito, which emerged about 15 years ago. The video is simply amazing as well.

Basically, if you like music, you'll enjoy. The bloopy little synth line is rad. And If you like dancing, you'll enjoy. And if you are interested in, you know, anything at all, it'll be worth four minutes of your time. Check the kid with T-Rex arms at 4:00 in. The whole thing is worth watching though!

Comment away. I want to hear what you think!

Apparently my parents didn't approve of it, but I thought it was pretty interesting...but seriously, the move that guy did at 4:28 was awesome. I'll show it to my friends at my old school...see what they think!

1) States have a governmental system, while a nation doesn't. States have a defined population in clear borders and boundaries. On the other hand, a nation is not concentrated in an certain area, for example, a state. It is spread out in the world, because a nation doesn't have a government to keep it in one area. A nation shares the same history, ethnicity, language, and ideas. They have common goals, unlike states because in states, sometimes there are many types of different people form different nations. For example, California is a state because it has a governmental system, there are many people in that state from different nations (white, asian, black, mexican, jewish...). And nations are cultural groups.

Oh my gosh the kid with the dino arms looks just like Eric last year during drama. We were doing a rehearsal and he was trying to look like a old person but he looked more like a dinosaur! Eric.... don't take it personally!:)

Also i wasn't able to find the tab for the debate so i'm putting mine in here with the music.
1.)I personally thought the debate was alot more interesting then the last one. During this debate the candidates were asked more questions about their opinion of each other or each others ideas.I loved it!! I can't believe how excited i got over this and i hope that whom ever deserves to presidant gets his chance to lead, NOT to just play dress up.
2.) And the difference between states and nations are a state has a smaller population and may be joined together in that area by religion, race, beliefs,or even ethnicities, and a nation could possibly be the whole world or an entire continent, but a nation is a large group of people living in the same area, but may or may not have the same beliefs.

Logan (not the Dings) said...

I am not a huge fan of Techno/ Hip Hop/ whatever you would call that, but I thought the song was cool, but the video was kind of weird.

Gaby Clarke said...

It was kind of strange but the music had a good tempo and the dance moves looked really cool!

so i couldn't find the debate blog thing so i'm commenting on here:
i kinda liked this debate, i thought the questions were better because it pretty much summarized all the little questions into one. and was "joe the plumber" a real guy, joe biden, or an imaginary person? i didn't get that.
what i thought that supprised me that mccain said was that he wanted to put the home owners first and lower taxes for people who have enough money to live on. And when he said sarah pailin was a rolemodel i was slightly offended because he was saying that women look up to an inexperienced woman who isnt all that smart about politics.
i didn't really find anything surprising but when he started talking about free trade with south korea my mom explained that it is good for us but its tough for korea because they have to spend money to buy american goods and they have to work harder to produce a better product for the americans so its like a competiton and i know you probably thought i mentioned that because im korean but i couldnt find another thing that i found surprising
also i was spacing out when they were talking about an "acorn" (?) i didnt get that either

I thought the video was pretty cool- (was the video supposed to have a story line?) I liked the music. when I heard the music, I started to nodd my head as a result to the music. I personally like music, so I am- (If I remember that is,) going to buy the song on my iTunes account. You get in to the groove when you listen to it. :) The t-rex guy looked vicious. the video was somewhat cool, but the t- rex stubby armed guy- he just was wierd!!!!!11111 later

Logan (not the Dings) said...

By the way, what in the name of Phil Collins is wrong with Mr. T-Rex dude? Very weird.

Alorenz7 said...

Logan moore, I have no idea what you mean when you say that it was less strict and looser...

???????????????????????

Alorenz7 said...

Kati- Why Inspiring?????????

I just don't see it!

ãɳɳÿ ħuãɳġ said...

Muffins- he meant that it wasn't so tightly done. For example, in the Town-hall style debate, the timing was really tight, and the candidates hardly got to answer the question, whereas in this one, they could talk more freely and for longer periods of time.

Logan (not the Dings) said...

You peeps should put some pictures on your profile thingamabob. It makes it look more dinglerific(not associated with terrific). Dingle is on the spell check on my computer. Teehee.

ãɳɳÿ ħuãɳġ said...

Lol, Logan...Dingle's also been added to my spell-check dictionary!

Logan (not the Dings) said...

The regulator guy wasn't as strict and they didn't seem to limit the times as much, but they still limited them

Cool video!! It was kinda boring at first but then it got better. I will comment on the questions in class on here because there is no tab.
1) The difference between a nation and state is that a state has leadership (a government) but a nation is more free... there are no "set rules" to it. A nation can be composed of any similaraties like religion, ethnicity, or ideas. A state has specific borders and everyone that is part of it is between those borders. My mom didn't know the difference.
2) I didn't find anything surprising except that Obama wants to raise our taxes in this financial crisis. Overall, I thought that Obama seemed more relaxed... it was funny when Mccain kept talking about "joe plumber" and obama always says, "well look..." They have these sayings that they always use!! I would like to learn more about the international trade thing and about the money we owe to other countries and businesses. I can't believe that next year if someone doesn't do something about it we will owe nearly a trillion dollars!!

I also liked that this debate was much more loosely regulated than the last one. I liked the moderator a LOT more.

Sorry I wrote a lot. :)

ãɳɳÿ ħuãɳġ said...

Wait..we were supposed to type it up?

Mr Yedid said...

@Delaney--

Post it in the appropriate thread, please.

logan (not dingle) and annie--- you guys are having like a full on conversation that is really random... you know everyone can read it!! it makes little/no sense!!

Mr Yedid said...

@Anny-- the difference between nation and state should have been posted to the thread I made on the blog tonight.

Logan (not the Dings) said...

I agree with delaney with the looser discussion.
P.S.I commented on your blog, Anny.

Blog on the Debate

I was surprised that the candidates didn't attack each other as much as the other debates. During the other debates both candidates were attacking each other more. The other thing that I saw interesting was that John McCain said "stupid" to Obama when they were both kind of talking, He just whispered it under his breath.

ãɳɳÿ ħuãɳġ said...

Interesting, Parker! I didn't hear McCain whisper "stupid"...that's really interesting.

Logan (not the Dings) said...

Whoa! this thead has 72 comments including this one!!!

Logan (not the Dings) said...

I did not hear McCain whisper "stupid" either.

Gaby Clarke said...

I can't get to the blog post either, so here is my feedback from the debate:

I agree that this debate was much better that last week's. Both candidates answered the questions more thoroughly than they had before, most of the time exceeding their time limit.

I found it slightly silly that, despite my previous agreement with his healthcare plan, Barack Obama would be assigning a specific healthcare plan, seeing as some families require certain assistance that may not be covered on the required plan. John McCain however pleased me when he mentioned a middle class society member ("Joe the Plumber") and how he would like to help people like Joe. Previously, he had only mentioned affecting major corporations and businesses, while Obama had focused mainly on these middle class citizens.

I was also mad about how sometimes McCain would silently laugh whenever Obama spoke during the debate. I was sincerely disappointed in his lack of respect for his opponent. I also agree with Emily when she said that it was slightly offensive to say that Sarah Palin is a role model. Yes, she is pretty, but looks aren't everything if your running for vice president. She doesn't seem ready to takeover anything if something were to happen to McCain, and she seems behind on the general election overall.
